We would like to dedicate this subpage of our website to our guide Bishnu who became a good friend during our trek in Nepal. We spent three weeks together doing the amazing Mount Everest Base Camp Trek which resulted in some unforgettable memories of the Himalayas.
Many pictures of our trek with him can be watched here : http://www.flickr.com/photos/capturing_the_world/sets/72157608668915825/
Bishnu was not just our personal guide, he also became a good friend. We had some memorable parties in local villages, he introduced us to local food and drinks and he was always in for a good laugh. After our trek was finished, he even welcomed us in his own house in Kathmandu and we were honoured to spend a few great days with his family. Always ready for some more adventure, he also took us on another camping trip to the Dhading region, a beautiful unspoilt rural area about 4 hours from Kathmandu. We spent our time with the locals there, enjoying the beautiful nature and having campfires every night. It was a truly authentic experience and the perfect way to recharge our batteries after the challenging trek.
Having another good time with our guide Bishnu (wearing the flowers)
Bishnu has been an independent trekking guide for more than 11 years. He has experience in both touristic and non-touristic treks. He knows his way around in the mountains and also has very good connections with other trekking guides and porters, which turned out to be very helpful (for booking accomodation in advance, especially on a teahouse trek like the one we did).
Needless to say that we can highly recommend Bishnu as a guide.
Are you planning a trek in Nepal and looking for a good, independent guide?
